Thank you to all my fans and followers. I have had over 2,000,000 views of my old website & over 1,000,000 video views.

While I am in transition on my site, I want to keep you all informed of my activities. Many of you ask about the DC8 Videos that are no longer on line: Let's just say that the best of everything is about to come and I apprieciate you all.

In 1976 I was in a motorcycle accident and broke my back and have a spinal cord injury. Told I would never walk again, I was lucky that I gained some movement in my legs. I am fortunate that I can walk with the use of a plastic leg brace and a cane (hence the name Caneman). After I retuned home from the hospital I went back to college, and I graduated from Cal Arts with a BFA in Film and Video. While in college I became a Private Pilot. And took that to the extreme, gaining many other flight ratings including Airline Transport Pilot. I have worked in aviation for 20 years, first flight instructing, then to Air L.A. a commuter airline as Chief Pilot, and then made it to the top of the field and was a DC8 Jet Captain with Emery Worldwide Airlines flying heavy freight worldwide. I am the only known person with a spinal cord injury who has flown heavy jets. The company ceased operations in 2001. I had a few short positions after that. Chief Pilot for a commuter in Hawaii and DC8 Captain for an airline in Miami FL.

My skills are not only in aviation, but I am a filmmaker, video editor, sound engineer, producer, director and ACTOR. I have also produced and hosted 13 weeks of a comedy variety show, plus 33 weeks of a cable access show in Hollywood, and numerous short videos that were on the web with worldwide viewings. You may have also seen me in a few commercials or online in the baseball field game at www.babyruth.com. Also as a music lover I hosted a rock n roll show on Radio in Southern California, in which I broke new bands from the southland on broadcast 1580AM.

My main focus right now is a Civil Rights Campaign for Disabled Performers. I am Chair of the Steering Committee of the Tri Union SAG/AFTRA/AEA I.AM.PWD Campaign for Inclusion in the Arts & Media for People With Disabilities.  Please take a look here:   IAMPWD.ORG

In January 2009, I was the Key Note Speaker at the 50th Anniversary of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act representing I.AM.PWD and I accepted a civil rights hero award for fellow I.AM.PWD Robert David Hall: NEWS 1  NEWS 2

June 2009: I had my right knee joint replacement revised with new parts. As of October 2009, I am continuing with Physical Therapy.

October 2009: I will be accepting the Billy Barty Access Award from the L.A. County Commission on Disabilities on behalf of the IAMPWD Campaign. Also I will be the keynote speaker at a corporate event repesenting the IAMPWD Campaign during this October, which is Disability Awareness Month.  During October, I was also the keynote speaker at the City of Pasadena Mayors's Office 23rd annual awards for employment of persons with disabilities. The topic was Endless Possibilities
